There are celebrations happening at Macquarie Medi Spa after the local business was named Australian Clinic of the Year – 5 Treatment Rooms or More at the 2026 Australian Beauty Industry Awards (ABIAS), held at ICC Sydney on Sunday night.
It is an incredible achievement for Karla and the Macquarie Medi Spa team, with the ABIAS recognising excellence across Australia’s beauty and skincare industry.
“We still cannot believe it! A few days later… and we’re still saying WOW. It’s finally starting to sink in! And honestly… we’re still a little speechless,” Karla said.

The ABIAS entry process takes an in-depth look at every aspect of a business – from its team, treatments and customer experience through to marketing, results and everything happening behind the scenes. Entries are then assessed and critiqued by respected industry leaders from across Australia.
For Macquarie Medi Spa to hear its name announced as the winner of one of the biggest awards of the night was a pretty special moment.
After several challenging years for small businesses, Karla said the recognition meant more than the team could put into words.
She paid tribute to the Macquarie Medi Spa team and their families, suppliers, friends and industry colleagues – but saved an especially big thank you for the clients who continue to support the business every day.
