Blayney District Netball Association is celebrating a remarkable achievement after its Under 17 Representative Team was crowned Division 4 Champions at the 2026 Netball NSW Hart Senior State Titles over the June Long Weekend.
The prestigious three-day tournament is one of the flagship events on the Netball NSW pathway, bringing together representative teams from across the state to showcase the strength of grassroots netball and provide young athletes with the opportunity to compete at a high level.
Blayney finished the tournament on top of the Division 4 ladder with an outstanding 31 competition points, recording an impressive 15 wins, one loss and one draw across the weekend.
The championship-winning squad featured 10 talented players from Blayney, Millthorpe and Orange, with Head Coach Mel Hazel, Assistant Coach Kirsty Jeffrey and Manager Michelle Duffel guiding the team throughout the event.
Association representatives praised the players for their commitment, resilience and teamwork, describing the group as a fantastic collection of young athletes who demonstrated grit, determination and strength in every match.
Adding to the team’s success, three players – Quinn Dicker, Grace Folpp and Caitlyn Harrison – are also members of the 2026 Western Region Academy of Sport netball program, highlighting the depth of talent within the squad.
The association also acknowledged the support of local Member for Bathurst, Paul Toole, whose 2026 grant funding enabled the association to hire a small bus to transport the team to and from Sydney for the championships.
Blayney District Netball Association congratulated every player, coach and volunteer involved, with the Division 4 title a fitting reward for months of hard work and dedication both on and off the court.
