Home Run House Opens Its Doors for Tailored NDIS Living Support

A new disability accommodation option is now available in the Lithgow region, offering personalised support for people seeking a safe, welcoming and independent living environment.

Home Run House is an independently operated home providing live-in NDIS-supported accommodation and daily living assistance for participants requiring either Individualised Living Options (ILO) or Supported Independent Living (SIL).

Operated by local provider Ashleigh and her team, Home Run House has been established with a strong focus on creating a supportive home environment where residents can build confidence, develop life skills and enjoy greater independence while receiving the assistance they need.

The service offers two accommodation pathways – permanent residency and short-term respite stays of up to 14 days – providing flexibility for participants, families and carers looking for the right support arrangement.

According to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Individualised Living Options (ILO) are designed to help participants choose where they live, who they live with and how they are supported, with arrangements tailored to each person’s individual goals and needs. Supported Independent Living (SIL) provides assistance with daily tasks and may include higher levels of support for people who require ongoing supervision and care in the home.

Ashleigh said every enquiry is carefully considered to ensure Home Run House is the right fit for both the participant and the existing household environment.

“We understand that every person’s circumstances, goals and support needs are different. Our focus is on getting to know each individual and their family or carers so we can determine whether Home Run House is the right match for them.”

Families, carers, support coordinators and prospective residents are encouraged to make contact to discuss their specific requirements, whether they are seeking a long-term living arrangement or short-term respite support.

With personalised care, a homely setting and an individualised approach, Home Run House aims to provide a supportive environment where residents can thrive and achieve greater independence.
