Bathurst’s business community is once again preparing to celebrate excellence, innovation and achievement, with nominations and entries now open for the 2026 Carillon Business Awards.
Hosted annually by the Bathurst Business Chamber, the prestigious awards have been recognising outstanding businesses and individuals across the Bathurst region for more than four decades. Now in their 42nd year, the awards continue to provide a platform for local businesses to showcase their success stories and highlight the important contributions they make to the regional economy.
The gala awards evening will be held on Saturday, September 5, at the iconic Bathurst Goldfields, bringing together business owners, industry leaders, employees, and community members for a night of celebration and recognition.
With more than 3,000 businesses operating across the Bathurst region, the Carillon Business Awards offer organisations of all sizes the opportunity to gain recognition for their achievements. Importantly, entries are open to all eligible businesses across the region, not just members of the Bathurst Business Chamber. From start-ups and family-run enterprises through to established employers and industry leaders, the awards celebrate excellence across a diverse range of sectors while recognising the vital contribution local businesses make to the regional economy.
Bathurst Business Chamber President Vicki Wilson said the awards provide an important opportunity to recognise the achievements of local businesses.
“Every business has a story worth telling. The Carillon Business Awards shine a spotlight on the people, ideas and enterprises that contribute so much to our region. We encourage all eligible businesses to get involved and take the opportunity to showcase their success.”
Award categories include Excellence in Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion, Customer Service, Agribusiness, Real Estate, Community Organisations, Employer of Choice and Outstanding New Business. Individual awards will also recognise exceptional employees and business leaders, including categories for emerging young leaders and established industry professionals.
The highly sought-after title of Bathurst’s Most Outstanding Business will once again be awarded to a business demonstrating exceptional performance, leadership and contribution to the local community.
Community members can also support their favourite businesses and professionals through the popular People’s Choice Awards. Categories include Bathurst’s Favourite Business, Favourite Apprentice or Tradie, Favourite Agent, and Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Employee.
Bathurst Business Chamber representatives say the awards are about more than trophies and accolades. They provide an opportunity to celebrate resilience, recognise hard work and inspire the next generation of business leaders.
As Bathurst continues to grow and diversify, the Carillon Business Awards remain an important reminder of the innovation, dedication and entrepreneurial spirit that underpin the region’s success.
Businesses considering entering are encouraged to review the award categories and key dates, with winners to be announced at the gala presentation evening in September. Head to bathurstbusiness.com.au/enter-the-awards/ for more info, as entries will close Monday 13th July – so act now!
