New Mothers Group Offers Support and Connection in Blayney

A new mothers’ group is launching in Blayney, offering a gentle and welcoming space for local mums and their babies during the early months of motherhood.

Known as ‘Little Beginnings’, the group is designed for mothers with infants from birth to six months, providing an opportunity to slow down, connect and build a sense of community during what is often described as the “fourth trimester” and beyond.

The weekly sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the playgroup room at Blayney Public School. Free to attend, the group is open to any mum seeking support, connection or simply a change of scenery.

Each session will include simple baby sensory and play-based activities, along with occasional visits from guest professionals offering guidance across a range of early parenting topics. Just as importantly, the group creates a relaxed space for conversation, allowing mums to share experiences and support one another.

Organisers say the initiative is about helping women find their “village” — a network of support that can make a meaningful difference during this stage of life.

Tea and coffee will be available for purchase from the school canteen, adding to the informal and comfortable setting.

The group is also intended as a gentle first step into broader community activities, supporting families as they transition into regular playgroup participation in the months ahead.

No bookings are required, with organisers extending an open invitation to local mums and their little ones to come along and be part of the new program.
