The Bathurst business community turned out in force on Tuesday, 21st April for the latest Bathurst Business Chamber After Hours event, hosted at Skillset’s newly refurbished Church Street premises.
With a strong showing from local operators, professionals and community leaders, the evening delivered exactly what these events are known for — genuine connection, conversation and the chance to strengthen local networks in a relaxed setting.
Hosted by the Bathurst Business Chamber in partnership with Skillset, the event also offered attendees a closer look at the organisation’s updated Bathurst base, located on the former NAB site. The totally remodelled space now provides modern facilities designed to support training, collaboration and community engagement.
Skillset CEO Narelle Stocks addressed the crowd, speaking to the breadth of work the organisation delivers across regional NSW. With more than 40 years of experience, Skillset has established itself as a key provider of apprenticeships, traineeships, recruitment and career development services, supporting both job seekers and employers.
A strong focus of the presentation was the impact of traineeships across the region, with Skillset continuing to play a critical role in developing local skills and helping businesses build and retain a capable workforce.
The evening reinforced the value of the Chamber’s After Hours program, with numbers reflecting ongoing engagement from the local business community.
Another well-attended event, and a clear reminder that opportunities to connect — and collaborate — remain a priority for businesses across Bathurst.
