A joint exhibition featuring a group of women who first met in April 2025 in France as Artists in Residence at the Chateau de Cerisay, west of Paris in the Loire Valley, Normandy.
From strangers to firm friends, this exhibition tells the story of the French Residency experience and showcases each artist’s individual talents and inspirations.
This is such a fascinating story – bring your family, bring your friends, we have got a fabulous exhibition opening next Friday night at the Gang Gang Gallery, 206 Main Street, Lithgow, from 5 pm. ALL WELCOME
ARTISTS INCLUDE
Beth Cunningham, Texas, USA, is a fibre artist working primarily in embroidery and appliqué, with a commitment to reuse and reinvention. Beth’s studio work is slow and intentional. Her work is stitched by hand on dyed, painted and layered cloth and paper.
Tania Small, QLD AUS, is drawn to the emotional connection of seemingly ordinary objects & domestic spaces. Each composition I create is arranged not only for its aesthetic qualities; it represents moments remembered, places visited, and emotions felt.
Catherine Anne, Melbourne, VIC, AUS, explores the delicate beauty of florals through watercolour, gouache and lino printing. A former classical violinist and arts educator, Catherine’s practice is grounded in reflection, observation and quiet joy of the natural world.
Monica Foye, Florida, USA, is a contemporary painter, educator, and creative mentor whose work celebrates the beauty of everyday life. Working primarily in acrylic and oil paint, Monica creates vibrant compositions that reflect her belief that art should be approachable, uplifting and deeply personal.
Livonne Larkins, Blue Mountains, AUS, works predominantly in fine art, composite photography, theatre, storytelling, mythology and fairytales.
Cecile Cummings, Blue Mountains, AUS, is a landscape and still-life artist interested in capturing the vulnerability and isolation found in both man-made and natural landscapes.
