Lithgow Celebrates Women with Two Inspiring Events

Lithgow marked International Women’s Day in style this month, with two well-supported events bringing the community together to celebrate, reflect and connect.

The first event, hosted by Lithgow City Council on Wednesday 4 March, was held in the stunning surrounds of Eskbank House. Guests were treated to a delicious afternoon tea, perfectly matched to the charm and history of the venue. The afternoon featured a series of diverse and moving performances by local community members, each sharing their own stories, talents and perspectives. It was a relaxed and welcoming gathering, with a strong sense of appreciation for the women who contribute so much to the local community.

The celebrations continued on Sunday, 8 March at Club Lithgow, where a High Tea fundraiser was held in support of Endometriosis Australia. The event combined indulgence with purpose, offering an abundant spread alongside fantastic live music that set a vibrant and uplifting tone.

A highlight of the afternoon was the panel discussion featuring local community members, who shared honest and insightful reflections on their experiences. The conversation sparked connection and understanding, highlighting both the challenges and achievements of women across the region.

Both events showcased the strength, diversity and spirit of Lithgow’s community, while also supporting important causes and creating meaningful opportunities for connection.

International Women’s Day in Lithgow once again proved that when the community comes together, powerful conversations and memorable moments are never far away.
