The Tinkers Set to Deliver a Lively Folk Night at Jack Duggans

Jack Duggans Folk Club will welcome much-loved Irish folk outfit The Tinkers as featured artists for its February concert night, with the band taking the stage on Tuesday 18 February from 7.30pm.

With more than two decades of performing Irish music behind them, The Tinkers have built a reputation for joyful, inclusive performances that blend irresistible dance tunes with tender airs and timeless ballads. Their shows are known for their warmth, musicianship and a strong sense of connection—both with the music and the audience.

This special Central West performance brings together an impressive lineup of musicians. Local audiences will be delighted to see renowned Central West fiddle player Simon Watts, alongside the highly regarded whistle player and singer Christine Wheeler, well known to many through Wombats Crossing. Adding further depth to the evening is Jim Moginie of Midnight Oil fame, whose musical influence spans decades, and respected Irish music aficionado Alan Healy.

The band also performs with a rotating circle of friends they have shared stages with over the years, giving each show a sense of spontaneity and camaraderie that keeps the music fresh and engaging.

This is shaping up to be a genuine toe-tapping evening, with dancing not just encouraged but warmly welcomed. Entry is by recommended $20 donation, and floor spots are always appreciated.

Music lovers are invited to join the fun at Jack Duggans Folk Club on 18 February for a night of lively tunes, rich harmonies and great company.
