This weekend, the iconic Bathurst Repco 1000 returns to Mount Panorama, promising heart-pounding action and an electric atmosphere as fans gather to witness Australia’s greatest car race. Race week kicked off with a street party on Wednesday 9 October.
The party was headlined by Track to Town featuring all 26 Supercars and team prime movers making the journey from Mount Panorama to the CBD of Bathurst, followed by a drivers signing session, the finals of the Pirtek PitStop Challenge, unveiling of the 2023 winners’ plaque and more!
The festival atmosphere continues on Friday, with Music in the Parade.
Head to Kings Parade for an afternoon of live music, twilight markets, local food trucks and family entertainment and activities from 4pm.
Out at the track on Friday, there’s even more to look forward to with autograph sessions, where racing fans can meet their favourite drivers and collect signed memorabilia. The “Kids Zone” is a standout feature, packed with activities to keep the younger ones entertained, including jumping castles, face painting, and carnival games. Saturday ramps up the excitement as qualifying heats determine pole position, and the off-track entertainment continues. The Supercars SuperKids’ Challenge, where young fans can race remote-control cars, is a crowd favourite. There’s also the opportunity to check out car displays, showcasing vintage vehicles and modern supercars, giving fans a taste of automotive history and the latest in car technology.
