A Winner

Recently, Mrs Heritage and I went on one of our jaunts, as we do, back down to the Grande Fume, this time for the 2023 NSW Tourism Awards. A gala dinner, and some wonderful winners, including the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre with a Gold Award for best in the state.

But we knew the Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail was a finalist. What a thrill, seven years of growing the event and attracting over 50% of ticketholders as visitors to the region. Could The Trail possibly podium? It didn’t bear thinking about. Oh, the suspense!

But … in our Festivals and Events category, there were numerous fabulous contestants – possibly the most hotly contested category of the event.

And …. you might be forgiven for not knowing the result because the local media and commentator pundits seem to have overlooked it, but The Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail was awarded SILVER!!!

Say no more.

Thought of the week …“don’t miss next year’s Trail on 16 & 17 March 2024 – tickets now online”.
