The Annexe is Now Open

The recently renovated space in The Annexe at The Foundations in Portland will hosting a popup Micro Market each weekend giving visitors the chance to come out and meet some of the people that are part of the ever popular Twilight Market at The Foundations, an installation of sculpture work and works by local artists on display, a Pop Up Soup Cafe – Simply Soup – and a range of events over coming months so weekend visitors to the town something to do when they visit.

There will also be an information display of the future plans for the site at The Foundations, will give locals and visitors an opportunity to learn about the exciting plans that are well underway for the former industrial site.

“Our goal is to ensure we continue to develop interesting and engaging experiences for locals and visitors in Portland, covering all age groups and interests,” said Rich Evans, Reactivation Manager for The Foundations.

“The Annexe allows us to create some smaller events that will be of interest to the community such as our exciting STEAMWorks activities this weekend which sold out in just 1 day, allowing local kids to experience world class STEM activities right here in Portland,”

“We also have a fantastic classical music event planned for Saturday 30 July, but each weekend, there will be makers and producers to meet, a display of local artists and warm soup and coffee for everyone to escape the weather and take some time out in our lovely town,” said Rich.

The Annexe is located at the intersection of Williwa and Wolgan Street, just across from the Coronation Hotel.

Opening hours will be from 10am – 3pm Saturday and Sunday in July, with further hours being added from August.
