Winter has definitely arrived this week, and the best way to spend your Long Weekend is around a fire, so how about a giant bonfire with added fireworks?
The second annual Cracker Night Twilight Market at The Foundations in Portland will be kicking off at 4pm on Saturday 11th June on Williwa Street in Portland and will run until 9pm.
Similarly to last year, there will be a massive bonfire (kindly watched over by the local Fire & Rescue team), an amazing fireworks display put on by the regions very own Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics and over 70 fantastic food vendors and market stalls to entice you!
The Foundations Markets in Portland have been going for a few years now, with a strong focus on locally made, locally sourced and where possible – artisan makers and crafters at this curated market event.
The June event is a great fun, family night out with the addition of the popular bonfire and awesome fireworks display. A very big thanks goes to the support of the local sponsors – Energy Australia, Greenspot and the Portland Business Association. It’s the wonderful commitment from these local businesses and organisations that help to create the wonderful atmosphere and bring back that old-school nostalgia that a “cracker night” evokes.
There will also be a STEAMworks Craft Corner to keep the kids entertained, along with a range of stalls to ensure there is something for everyone.
The bonfire will be lit at 6pm and the fireworks will go off at 7:30pm. If you’re visiting the Market this Saturday, please be sure to dress in your warmest gear – it could be a chilly one!
