Junior Paddler Competes at Nationals

Bathurst Pan Dragons are proud to have one of their junior paddlers, Haidyn Waldron, selected to represent NSW at the State v State Competition at the Australian National Dragon Boat Championships.

This event will be held at West Lakes in South Australia on 8 April 2022 and will feature 2 km, 500 metre racing and a team pursuit. Haidyn attended selection trials in Sydney earlier this year and is attending regular training sessions in Sydney to prepare for racing in the Nationals. The club also has Vicki Gransden racing in the Western Region Squad and Louise Linke as the Western Region head coach.

Weekly dragon boat training is undertaken at Chifley Dam by the Bathurst Pandragons and is suitable for both social and competitive paddlers. The sport is great for fun, fitness and socialising with a team, and suitable for anyone 11 years and over. There are opportunities to race at club, state and national level regattas.
