Pyke Performed for a Perfectly Chilled Afternoon

One of Australia’s most beloved and respected storytellers, Josh Pyke, serenaded The Backyard of The Victoria Hotel on Sunday 13th February.

Renowned for his multi-layered melodies and lyrics that are both deeply personal and highly relatable, Pyke was applauded by the 150 guests who were able to see him perform. It was the first gig as part of The Backyard Sunset Series –  a huge 3 act lineup launched by The Victoria Bathurst.

Pyke last visited Bathurst in 2009 at the CSU Uni Bar. He spoke with Meg McKenna, Event Manager who said “Josh was impressed with the caliber of our venue and said it will be a incredible additional location to extend artists’ regional circuit past the Blue Mountains. This is a positive step into launching tourism for the Bathurst Region by bringing National artists’ into our Backyard. And for the people of Bathurst, who won’t have to leave town to see their favourite artists perform.”

Sunday, was a great Summer’s Day, while Josh played his best known songs, “The Summer” “Middle of the Hill” and his new single ‘Circle of Light’ from his brand new album TO FIND HAPPINESS, which is out 18 March 2022.  Supported by locals Andy Nelson, Amy Viola and James Van Cooper.

The Victoria Bathurst is proudly gaming free, focusing on live music and events bringing the community together. The remaining artists and dates for the Backyard Sunset Series are:
