Gowrie Lithgow set for $5000 Garden Makeover

The landscapers are set to visit the Gowrie Lithgow Early Education and Care Centre.

They will be on site to design and plan a scope of works for a makeover to the centre’s back garden area.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the refurbishment is being made possible thanks to a NSW Government Community Building Partnership (CBP) grant of $5000.

“Gowrie Lithgow are in the process of looking at best options for the makeover which will include clearing of the existing back garden and replacing it with lawn, plants, soil, mulch and play equipment for use by their children,” he said.

“It’s a project designed to make the best use of a space that needs upgrading and is part of the facility’s ongoing efforts to ensure a quality learning environment for the children who use it.”

Mr Toole said that last year a NSW Government grant of $15,000 to Gowrie made it possible to add a multi-purpose all weather space to convert an outdoor area for use all year round, by using retractable curtain blinds.
