The Portland St. Vincent de Paul Conference 2023 Christmas Appeal was once again boosted by the support from the children and all at Portland’s Blinky Bill Child Care Centre.
They supported the appeal with a hamper, which was put together by donation of goods in kind and presented to St. Vincent de Paul Conference Portland, for distribution to those most in need. President of Portland Conference Dennis Kelly was on hand to accept the kind donation from the children and said that the effort was much appreciated.
Mr Kelly said that Blinky Bill had made a practice of organising the hamper for many years now, which was a very fine gesture indeed and assists greatly in delivering a little Christmas cheer to the poor and disadvantaged in our community. He paid tribute to the staff, parents and children at Blinky Bill for their ongoing effort and kind thoughts during the festive season.
