The Funky Friday Picnic in the park season came to a finale on Friday 31 March at the stunning Foundations venue in Portland.
After a successful season of open air entertainment at Queens Elizabeth park in Lithgow The little big band took their signature funky groove on the road to Capertee, Wallerawang and finally Portland to finish off the season.
The iconic Heritage buildings at The Foundations were a stunning backdrop for the talented musicians with the audience being treated to a virtuoso performance by the group as the sun set.
There was definitely an appreciation amongst the crowd of the combination of great music, a warm fire and tasty food, with all agreeing that more of this type of event in the future would be a great benefit to the community.
Hopefully we will see the Funky Fridays return in 2024 and they can bring their band back to the region for everyones enjoyment.
