Christmas is coming early at Zig Zag Public School, with the school community inviting locals to pull on their favourite ugly Christmas jumper and put their knowledge to the test at a festive Christmas in July Trivia Night.
Hosted by well-known trivia master Ian Iddles, the event will be held on Saturday, 25 July in the Millennium Room at the Lithgow Workmen’s Club, with guests invited to arrive from 6 pm for a 6.30 pm start.
Organised by the Zig Zag Public School P&C, the evening promises plenty of laughs, friendly competition and festive spirit, while raising much-needed funds to help refurbish the school’s outdoor area for students to enjoy.
Tickets are $25 per person, with tables of up to 10 available. Individuals are also welcome, making it easy for everyone to join in the fun.
There is plenty to play for on the night, with cash prizes awarded to the top three teams. First prize is $200, second prize $150, and third prize $100. Guests will also have the chance to win a lucky door prize, purchase raffle tickets and take part in the popular 100 Club.
While the trivia questions are sure to get everyone thinking, organisers say the evening is just as much about bringing the community together in support of the local school.
As alcohol will be available for purchase from the club bar, the event is for adults only. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner at the club before trivia gets underway.
Bookings are now open through the Zig Zag Public School office by calling 6351 2352, with payment accepted by cash or QR code. Ticket purchases need to be finalised by Friday, 8 July, to allow organisers to allocate tables.
