The BreastScreen NSW Mobile Van will be in Lithgow from 19 January to 6 February 2026, offering free breast screening services at Lithgow Valley Plaza (corner of Lithgow and Bent Streets).
With convenient access including on-site general and disability parking, nearby bus stops, a taxi rank at the plaza and Lithgow Train Station just a 15-minute walk away, local women are encouraged to take advantage of this important health service.
Early detection saves lives. Women aged 50 to 74 are recommended to have a breast screen every two years to help detect breast cancer early, often before symptoms appear. Screening is for women without symptoms. Anyone experiencing concerns such as a lump, nipple discharge or persistent breast pain should see their GP promptly.
Women aged 40 to 49 and those over 75 are also eligible to attend.
