All a matter of focus

By Rich Evans

Local clothing and lingerie shop, Intimate Dreams, is in the process of streamlining what it has on offer. Owner, Glenda Anthes, has made the decision to clear out the clothes and just stick to her main focus – her range of Lingerie and Sleepwear.

A recent post to Facebook, suggesting Intimate Dreams was holding a ‘Closing Down Sale’, had some of Glenda’s loyal customers asking questions, but Glenda was quick to assure us she is not going anywhere.

“I got the clothes a number of years ago, but now there is more choice available locally. I thought it was time to focus on the main part of the business which is definitely the bras and lingerie,” said Glenda

The virtues of a professionally fitted bra are plain for all to see, which has inspired Glenda’s recent run of ad’s in the Village Voice, which are a bit cheeky for some, but have got people’s attention nonetheless.

Glenda’s store has been in the family for decades with her parents originally running their own stores in the premises, and whilst the Intimate Dreams store will now occupy only one side, the prime position will ensure another business takes up residence very quickly.

“I think it will be fantastic to focus on the thing I know best, and the thing that gives me the best opportunity to help the ladies of the region to get the correct bra for their requirements,” said Glenda.

Intimate Dreams is the only fully Qualified Bra Fitting store in Lithgow, with the closest being Penrith or Bathurst. “I constantly have ladies in the store that say my prices are better than they get down in the city. There is no reason to not shop local as far as I am concerned.”
