The Portland District Motor Sports Club has been around for thirty years and this Sunday (May 31st) they are hosting the final action packed speedway meeting of the season at the Kings Auto Parts Cullen Bullen Raceway and it’s going to be a ripper!
Unfortunately last month’s meeting was a washout but with no less than nine featured racing categories at this meeting, most rounding up their club pointscores, the racing is assured to be fast and furious.
Get set for almost six hours of non stop speedway excitement at “the Action Attraction of the Central West” with over fifty events for the tin top stock cars and the very fast open wheelers.
Five fabulous classes of open wheelers including the Grand Prix Midgets, Compact Speedcars,Modlites,Go Karts and the Microsprints will be contested on the slippery granite track.
And don’t forget the stock car stars contesting the 7th and final round of their Portland club championship over four heats – the unbelievably close racing RSA Street Stockers,Series Production,Fast Fours and the Juniors all racing for their yearly pointscore.
Driving stars from Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Mudgee, Bathurst, Orange, Canberra, Blayney, Oberon and Nowra will battle it out wheel to wheel on the oval track and you won’t miss one second of the action – come out and cheer your favourite driver to the chequered flag.
Sponsors proudly supporting the Cullen Bullen Raceway include Kings Auto Parts,Sita Environmental Solutions, McFadden Ice Supplies of Bathurst, Brackenrig Haulage of Lidsdale,Phil & Marg Downey’s Portland Newsagency, the Royal Hotel Cullen Bullen,Stone’s Pest & Weed Control,Coates Hire Wallerawang, Portland Automotive Services,Centennial Coal,Lithgow City Council and Atlantic Lubricants.
Full canteen facilities are always available and at very pleasing prices so be ready for a full evening of inexpensive family entertainment this Sunday (May 31st) commencing at 10am at the Cullen Bullen Raceway situated just off the Castlereagh Highway.
Spectators are also reminded,as a condition of entry, that children must be supervised at all times.
