A Special Announcement from Carol Stevens of Lithgow Physiotherapy

By Carol Stevens, Lithgow Physiotherapy

After 33 years of being a physiotherapist at Lithgow Physiotherapy, it is with mixed feelings that I announce my retirement.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that it has been an honour and a pleasure to serve three generations of people in Lithgow and the surrounding area.

My husband and I both recognize that Lithgow has been a wonderful town in which to live and raise our family.

So while I will no longer be working at Lithgow Physiotherapy, I hope to continue to be involved in the Lithgow Community and have more time to enjoy some of the recreational activities this beautiful area has to offer.

As of the 1st of June, Joseph Lee is the new owner of Lithgow Physiotherapy.

Joseph has been a physiotherapist at Lithgow Physiotherapy since January 2014.  Joseph is an excellent physiotherapist. He is careful and thorough when it comes to assessing and diagnosing all injuries and conditions. He is well liked by all his clients and has gathered quite a following already.

Joseph is a careful listener, and he is excellent at explaining medical conditions and treatment plans in plain English. He is very sensitive to the older clients and is happy to do home visits for those who are unable to get into the clinic.

Joseph was born and raised in Sydney, and completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Sydney University. He brings to Lithgow Physiotherapy the latest ‘best practice’ treatment techniques and protocols.  Joseph also looks forward to working with the Lithgow sporting community as he has always been an active sportsman himself. So it is no wonder that Joseph emphasizes and provides appropriate and progressive exercise programs as an essential part of all of his injury and pain management.

Of course, Julie Barnett who has been working at Lithgow Physiotherapy for over 20 years, will continue to work with Joseph.  Julie has a wealth of knowledge and experience which she continues to share with both staff and clients.

Along with providing physiotherapy for all manner of musculo-skeletal injuries, Julie has a special interest in Continence and Pelvic Floor Therapy for both men and women.

Our friendly and helpful office staff, Narelle Foxley and Lyndsay Charlton will also continue to work with Joseph so please feel free to call with any enquiry, or to make an appointment on 6352 2288.

You can find out more about us at and you can follow us on Facebook.

So once again, many thanks to all the clients who have supported me over the past 33 years, and I hope you will continue to support Joseph as he assumes the ownership of Lithgow Physiotherapy.
