Sporting excellence at Wallerawang Public School

Wallerawang Public School continues their proud sporting tradition with Lachlan Taylor & Ryan Neale both seeing success in recent weeks.

Lachlan Taylor has been selected in the Western Region Touch Football Team to play in Coffs Harbour from the 21st to 23rd July, while Ryan Neale continues to flourish, having been recently selected in the PSSA Western Region side.

The school community at Wallerawang Public school congratulates Lachlan on his selection. He will be keen to train with the Western team and learn and develop his skills. This is a huge achievement for Lachlan given that his first taste of touch football was last year with the school team. Lachlan has also pulled on his Rugby League boots playing his first season for Wallerawang Junior Rugby League in the under 12’s where he has again demonstrated he is real talent in the game.

Ryan is also to be congratulated for his achievement. The talented and skilful striker is no stranger to representative hockey with this being his second year in the team. Ryan currently plays weekend competition for St Pats in Bathurst. He also represents Bathurst at a district level. Ryan will now compete in the NSW PSSA state carnival as the only representative from the Lithgow area in June, at Broadmeadow Newcastle.
