The passing of Dr Leonie Geldenhuys and her husband shocked the community last year and left behind three children in dire straits.
Financial support for Janie, Evert and Leon to date has been very thankfully received, however much more needs to be done to ensure these children receive proper care and have a financial viable future.
There will be a major fundraiser for the children to be held on 1st March at the Lithgow Workmen’s Club. The event will be a family day of great fun, food and prizes. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The organisers of the fundraiser are also looking for businesses to donate any prizes that may be able to be auctioned onsite to raise money for the children, with all prizes required by February 20.
Live auction of donated goods will occur, with proceeds going to the Glendenhuys Children’s Trust Fund. There will also be trivia, Live music, afternoon tea and much more.
The Geldenhuys Charity Fundraiser will be held on the March 1 at the Lithgow Workmen’s Club from 2:30pm – 7:00pm
