The locally written and produced musical ‘1915’, which tells the story of Lithgow bandsmen whose bonds through music and friendship took them all the way to Gallipoli, is off to a flying start.
Production Team and Cast were off and running last week in preparation for the Centenary of ANZAC production, which will be celebrated in April this year. The Production Team fine-tuned elements of the production process in a meeting just before Stage Director, Brett Jeffers took the fledgling cast through a first reading of the play to be performed as part of the production.
The Production Team has drawn together some of the best talent in stagecraft, music and event management in the district, according to Producer, Don White who said, “This production will be a moving and memorable commemoration of the ANZAC Centenary recalling the sacrifices of the people of Lithgow so long ago. The music, the story and the occasion will live on long in the memory of those who become part of the audience in April.” Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks.
