Work has commenced on the new Hoskins Court development.
Local real estate agent, Jamie Giokaris has joined with Steve Ellery and Steve Watts to form a new development company to take on the project. With both Mr Giokaris and Mr Ellery having been born and bred in the local area, they have fond memories of the site.
“This used to be tennis courts right here,” Mr Giokaris remembered, adding that he is very happy to be able to bring a development of this quality to the local area.
The site has been at a stand still for some time. But since this new consortium took it over it’s taken just a few short months for them to begin the site works construction with begin very soon on the first stage which already has a great deal of interest with some of the homes already with deposits.
The building at the rear of the site which has been bought by Westfund will no doubt see some movement in the near future as well. However for the time being, seeing work happening and bringing much needed development to Lithgow is a sure sign that the local economy is still moving forward with local investors prepared to take on a project like this.
