Wallerawang Futsal’s Under 10’s and an Under 12’s boys teams played at the Football NSW Futsal State Championships on the 4th & 5th Oct.
The day started early for the Under 12 boys with an 8.30am kick off at Penrith Regional Sports Centre. The boys all played well and never gave up as they played against Botany Bay Pirates, Mascot Vipers and Concord United. Coach Bryce Chapman was very impressed with the boys’ attitude and how they performed on the court. He also said they represented Wallerawang Futsal with great sportsmanship both on and off the court. The boys should be very proud of themselves. One of the parents said they were proud despite the boys’ losses. “The boys lost all 3 games to the premier teams, but they all put in 110% and played like little champions! Can’t ask more than that! Very proud of them all.“
The Under 10’s travelled to Valentines Sport Park, where they had 2 games on the Saturday and 2 games on the Sunday. The boys played against Mascot Vipers, Mountain Majik Girls, Parramatta Pumas FC and Enfield Rovers. The boys were all very keen for their first game and they got off to a great start, showing some fantastic team work. Coach Paul Chapman was happy with how the boys worked together as a team and parents from the opposing team even commented on how well the boys were playing. Over the weekend they had a win, a draw and 2 losses. All the parents were very proud of all the boys and said it was a great experience for them.
