Local Ladies League Tag

The local ladies Workies League Tag team, known as the Wolvettes were braving the cold this week to train up ready for their next match, being played against last years competition winners from Orange this Sunday.

Mallory Goodman has been playing with the team since it began 3 years ago. She has been playing touch football since she was 14 years old.

“Touch is quite different to tag league, but is the closest to Rugby League” she said.

Mallory has been selected along with 3 others teammates to try out for the representative team. The other teammates are Tiffany Northey, Kirsty Willmott and Tahlia Nugent.

Tiffany starred in last years representative team along with fellow teammate, Chrissie West.

League Tag is an all girls competition which is the first of its kind. It is a much more family and female friendly sport.

Mallory concluded “My teammates are all great. Just like family”

Get down and check out the next home game at 1pm on Saturday 2nd May at the Showground.
