The Lithgow branch of QUOTA International is hosting a Fashion Parade on Thursday 10th April at the Lithgow Workies Club in the Millennium room (downstairs). The doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start. Tickets are $20 per person and include a light supper. The amazing fashions have been supplied by one of our favourite local retailers, RockStar and is sure to be a colourful, exciting and vibrant event.
The ladies are raising funds to go towards their great work in assisting the community here in Lithgow as well as some other countries in need. Quota International are a diverse group helping hospitals, schools and other charity organisations.
QUOTA International originally starting 1919 in Buffalo, New York by Wanda Frey Joiner, who was a Russian immigrant who arrived in America with her mother and brother following her fathers death. Quota’s motto, “We Share,” guides members to develop friendships, encourage others, and promote international understanding. Quota is known especially for service to disadvantaged women and children and to people who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired
The Lithgow branch itself currently has approximately 30 members but Quota International has branches all over the world. The Lithgow branch is one of 269 clubs in 12 countries.
“We’re really excited for the Fashion Show. There are 8 models of varying ages to show a real variety of clothes and accessories from Rockstar” said Marilyn Tulley, the past President and board member.
